Going on the Account: Loss of Safe Harbor?

From the electronic version of the New York Times, and very likely tomorrow’s print edition, is this piece about Somali pirates feeling pressure to go off the account.

 

In addition to word that the situation is drawing some aid attention and a willingness to abandon chaos ashore, what’s especially striking are the descriptions of what happened to the loot many of the modern buccaneers amassed in their careers.  Like pirates throughout every age, treasure just flowed away, encouraging many men to go back out and size another trophy.  The more things change…
